CLAIM AGAINST CONTRACTOR

(By Telegraph;— Press Association.) CHRISTCHUECH, This Day. A claim for £1016 against C. S. McCully and Christchurch Sawmills, Ltd., timber merchants, for alleged faulty construction of an indoor bowling rink in Tuam Street, was heard by Mr. Justice Ostler this morning. The plaintiff was Reginald Gilbert Brown, trading under the name of Indoor Bowling Kinks. The claim alleged that the defendant did not lay and complete the green in a good workmanlike manner or to the satisfaction of the plaintiff's architect, and included £380 for loss of business. The defence denied the allegations, and counter-claimed for £148 for labour supplied, etc. The, case is proceeding.
