SPORTS ACTIVITIES

The finals of the gymnastic competitions at Nelson College were held on Wednesday evening. The competitors in each division gave a splendid exhibition, the standard of proficiency ia the senior class 'being superior to that of last year. The following were the results:— Under 14 Class.—E. Duncan Cup (Cock House Cup) : East House. In concluding the c^mony the principal. Mr. H. ■V. Searle, tendered the thanks of the school to Mrs. Fell for presenting the prizes, and to Mr. W. G. Slurray for judging the competitions, and expressed great appreciation 'of the work done by Messrs. A. C. Tatton and Ken Johnston in coaching the boys in gymnastics. .
