BURNEY—FOTHERINGHAM

The marriago was celebrated yesterday afternoon at St. Mark's Church of Nancy, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Fot'heringham, Central Terrace, Kelburn, and Stuart Grecnwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter X -Burner, of Sydney, New South Wales. Tho ceremony was performed by the Yen. Archdeacon A. M. Johnson, who was assisted by the Key. N. Kobertshawe, vicar of St. Mark's. Tall St. Joseph lilies decorated the church, clusters of them being placed at the altar rails, on the pew-heads, and in the chancel. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a beautiful long-sleeved frock of oyster white satin, the front being plainly cut with a .deep square neck. The back of the- skirt was composed of loops from below the knees, and from underneath stretched a very, long train. A wreath of lilies, fastened her. voluminous veil of old Limerick lace (which had been worn by the bride's mother), and another veil of billowy tullo completely covered' the train. She carried a sheaf of. lilies. Her train was carried by two small pages, Leopoldo and Umberto Formichella, who were clad in red satin suits with white ci'inkle crepe blouses. UNUSUAL FROCKS. Five bridesmaids and three small girls attended her, and were all-dressed alike in white, crinkle crepe frocks cut on Grecian lines. Plain in front,1 the pleated backs widened into short trains and were finished with bustle bows. Beautifully made china flowers I formed their head bands, and also their bouquets, which were tied with red ribbon velvet. They were linked together with trails of real flowers from the wrists. The bridegroom's presents were circular diamond clips. The-grown-up bridesmaids were Misses Mary Ward (chief), Isabel McKcnzie,. Mar;jorie Bennie, June Eeid, and Agnes Craig1, and the children, Pamela Morral, June Plimmer, and Anne PlowdenWardlaw. Mr. Athol Lawson was best man, and Mr. Malcolm Bennie groomsman. Mr. Johu Buckleton and Mr. Alan Reeve were ushers. The reception was held at 43 Central Terrace, the residence of the bride's parents, where a huge' red and white striped marquee had been erected on the, tennis court. Red and white garden umbrellas stood on the lawn, arid the- same colours were carried throughout the decorations.- Loops of _lycopodium and tree ferns hid tho pillars, and white baskets contained great bunches of red Australian brush. White flowers and quantities of red sweet peas were massed in green tubs, and more lovefy flowers decorated the house. The hall was banked with Iceland poppies, and roses and red sweet peas were in all the rooms. Sweet peas and maidenhair fern also adorned the bride's table, the unusual wedding cake being decorated 'with figures representing Australian koala rjears, wallabies, kangaroos, some branches of red waratah, and also a Maori maiden. Mrs. Fotheringham wore a smart trained frock of black chiffon, long oyster coloured gloves, and a wide black hat, with ospreys. She carried a bouquet of red roses. :.The bride travelled in an oyster silk crash skirt and three-quarter coat with a Mouse of China blue and white, and a hat of oyster crash. r AMONG THE aUBSTS.
