PRICES AT TAIHAPE
Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report: — At our Taihape sale on Wednesday we yarded a fair entry of both cattle and sheep -which met with keen opposition. Prices for sheep were well maintained, but cattle showed an easier tendency. Wethers were keenly sought after, and sold exceptionally well, the demand being in excess of ' the supply. We quote: Fat maiden ewe,s, 20s; fat ewes, best quality, 17s 9d to 18s; other sorts, 13s Id to 13s 4d; 4-tooth maiden ewes in wool, small, 22s lid;
small 2-tooth wethers in wool, 16s, 2-tooth wethers, 15s 6d, 16s 9d, to 17s; aged ewes in wool, 17s 9d; aged ewes in wool with lambs, 24s 6d; fat bullocks, £5 15s; forward 3yr steers, £3 19s; fat and forward heifers, £3 12s 6d; coloured 18niths steers, 255; 2yr dairy heifers at drop £2 ss, £2 9s, to £3 2s 6d; yearling Jersey bulls, £1 Is to £1 12s.
