SALES CLOSE AT ADVANCE

Practically a complete clearance was made at the wool sales of an offering of 10,000 bales. This week's sales concluded with a strong market with prices showing an almost general advance of 5 per cent, on the opening of the series on Monday. Merinos made to 279 id per lb, and comebacks to 28% d.
