RAILWAY MISHAP
WAGONS DERAILED
A mixed passenger and goods train which left Wellington at JL0.17 a.m. today for Palmerston North suffered a minor mishap just south of the Khandallah Station, three empty goods wagons-being derailed. The'train proceeded on its way after about two hours' delay. . The principal effect of the accident was that passengers to AVellington on "Field's express"/ were' ■brought to the city -from Khandallah in Eailway Department buses. They suffered no delay in arrival, and in fact profited by being brought to Lambtoh, instead of' being left by the train at Thorndon Station. .- The buses also brought the mails in, and ran a service to Johnsonville.to replace the 12.15 p.m. Thorndon-Johnsonville train. :
