GERMAN REFUGEES
APPEAL TO CHURCHES
(British Official Wireless.) * KUGBY, December 12. The Archbishops of Canterbury, York, and Wales, and the heads of the Free Churches in England ana Wales have issued a Christmas appeal on behalf of 60,000 political and religious refugees of all classes and creeds from Germany, the majority of whom are in Prance, but many in Great Britain, Palestine, and. other countries. The appeal has been endorsed by Mr. James Macdonald, appointed by the League of Nations Council, as High Commissioner for refugees fr6m Germany.
