NEW YEAR TOURNEY
The only tournament on the local horizonI'is the Miramar New Year fixture, which will uo doubt bo as popular as ever, aud should draw a good proportion of the golfers who can keep scores down under all conditions. The course is standing up well to tho dry spell, but is naturally very fast. Good greens, however, will help the scoring, and if the fairways are not too closely shorn of what grass there is, lies will not be so bad.
