The first New Zealand flight of thai Wellington Waco aerial ambulance for the removal of a patient was acconn plished this afternoon between Hawerai and Oamaru, the aeroplane, under Captain Bolt, making a perfect landing at the Alma Aerodrome (Oamaru) shortly after 3 p.m. The time occupied mi the flight; was 4 hours 20 minutes. Tha patient was Mrs. Whillans, who wished to rejoin her people at Oamaru- but dosired to avoid the lengthy rail and boat travel from the North Island.
