SUBSIDISED SHIPPING
(Received December 13, 3 p.m.) LONDON, December 12. In the House of Commons Dr. Leslie Burgin, Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade, told a questioner that approximately 40 per cent, of the foreign shipping entering British ports belonged to countries where the Governments assisted shipping by grants, loans, and subsidies.
