SEASON'S LAMBING
OFFICIAL FIGURES
■An estimate of the current season's lambing, for. the North Island, together with, the estimates for the past five years, and the actual . number of lambs tailed, was set »ut in a statement issued today by the Minister of Agriculture (the Hon. C. E; Hacmillan). ~ The.total,estimated number of breeding Wes is' 9,318,943, and the estimated number of lambs 8,502,050, or 91.23 per cent. District figures are as follows:—

.Estimates of the number of lambs tailed ,since. 1028 show a percentage increase from 84;6l to 01.23. Tlio actual number ot lajnbs tailed war, as follows:—1928, 7 286,284; 1929, 7,817.177; 1930, 7,710,370; 1031, 7,813,887; 1932, 7,988,569.
