VARIOUS MARIGOLDS
HARDY AND EASY TO GROW
During the last few years marvellous advances have been made in'the various classes of marigolds, and as the plants are all hardy ana easy to grow, produce innumerable flowers and go on blooming well into the winter they, are justly popular. . Calendula "Campflre" is the largest of all, the brilliant orange blooms often, being tip to four inches across and fully double. A more recent introduction is "Art Shades," which include many quite new colours. Another now one is called ','Chrysantha," having flowers of a clear buttercup yellow with large double flowers composed of looso asterlike florets. . ■

huge globular heads of yellow or orange are excellent either for garden decoration or for cutting. All those mentioned are very easy to grow, not being particular as to soil or situation, but the tree marigolds being very brittle require supports and a certain measure of protection-from high winds. . . . . .
