MACKEESEY—ACHESON.

The wedding was celebrated at the I Cathedral, Nelson, yesterday of Sybil Gwendoline, only 'daughter of Mrs. E. Acheson, "Waimii" House, Nelson, to Ivan James, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. C. L. Maekersey, Hawko's Bay. The Dean of Nelson, the very JRev. H. J. Eaymer, performed the ceremony. . . .' •' The bride, who was escorted by Dr. David Miller, wore a charming gown of .ivory chiffon velvet over palest pink, 'cut on classic lines falling in graceful folds to the ground, and her tulle veil was held close to the head with sprays of orange blossom. She carried an effective bouquet of lily of the valley and pale pink roses. Miss Dorothy Denshire, Christchurch, and Miss Doris Mills, Wellington, were the bridesmaias. Miss Denshire wore a frock of palest pink crinkle organdie and a large crinoline hat trimmed with ribbon velvet to tone. Miss Mills was in a crinkle organdie frock, palest bhn« in shade, and also wore a large crinoline hat trimmed with ribbon velvet. They carried bouquets of pink and blue flowers, and with the bride made a very pretty group. Mr. Charles EvanScott was best man. The bride's mother received the guests at. "Wainui" House, wearing a frock of sapphire blue silk craquelle crepe and angel skin lace, with black hat, ana she carriea a bouquet of pink roses. The briaegroom's mother wore a black silk crepealine frock with a black hat, ana her posy wag of sunkist roses. Mrs. T. W. Irwin (Aucklana), aunt of the bride, was in a smart frock of grey ana cornflower blue silk marocain, with a grey goorgette' coat and grey hat. Her bouquet was of pink and blue flowers. When Mr. and Mrs* Maekersey left on their wedding tour the bride was wearing a navy crep*© de chine costume, ermine stole, with white hat, gloves, and bag. ■ .. . .
