TOR THE CARNIVAL.
The beautiful gardens and aviary at the residence of Mr. and. Mrs. B. Sutherland,' " Homewood,," Karori, will be thrown open to the public from' Saturday, November 11, until November 25. These grounds are noted for their beauty and novelties in landscape gardening. One of these is an underground fernery, and others are sunken gardens and lily ponds. In addition to this there i3 an aviary of over three hundred birds. The hothousos are in themselves worthy of a visit. It is anticipated that many .people will avail themselves of this opportunity of seeing ono of the finest gardens in New Zealand. A small charge is being made for admission, the proceeds of which will lie donated to the Mayor's Relief Fund. Country visitors particularly should make a point of visiting "Homewood.'-'
