Wright, Stephenson, and Company, Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on Johnsonville sale held yesterday as follows:—To a full attendance of buyers we submitted an average yarding of cattle and a smaller yarding than usual of sheep. Lambs came forward in larger numbers than usual. Cattle met with a fair demand at auction at prices easier by 5s to 7s Od pel- head. No. vealeis or runners Wfcre yarded. There was a poor demand for wethers at last week's rates. Owing to a short yarding of ewes prices were slightly firmer. Lambs and hoggets met with a keen sale. MASTERTON QUOTATIONS. The New Zealand Fanners' Co-opera-tive Distributing Co., Ltd., offered a yarding of 100 fat sheep,.- 75 dairy cattle, and 35 pigs at the Masterton sale yesterday. Fat sheep were in short supply and sold well, dairy cattle sold at late rates, while weaner pigs were short of requirements and made the best prices of the season. Sheep: Light fat wethers, 18s 6d to 19s 9d; heavy fat ewes, 14s to 14s 7d; prime Southdown . ewes, 1&; shorn Southdown hoggets, 16s lOd; fat woolly hoggets, 21s; spring lambs, 19s.
