Mr. Garfield Hays, tho American lawyer, in a statement declares that Torgler, Dimitroff, Popoff, and Taneff are innocent of implication in the Reichstag fire. "I heard the evidence at London, which the refugees dare not givo here. I also heard at Leipzig and Berlin practically al) the important evidence regarding identification, which was contradictory and preposterous resulting in a conviction that no impartial person could think them guilty."
