HITLER INTERVIEWED

WHAT GERMANY WANTS

LONDON, October 19.

The "Daily Mail" publishes a lengthy statement by Herr Hitler made to Mr. Ward Price, which is described as the most explicit the Chancellor has yet made.

Horr Hitler, answering questions, said: "We are teaching the German youth to light only internal evils. Germany's attitude to France always depended on Prance's attitude to Germany."

Mr. Price asked: What is your answer to the charge that Germany's armaments are greater than officially admitted; that you have war materials in Holland, Sweden, and elsewhere?

Herr Hitler replied: How can these munitions exist when-every single gun in Germany is known? It is incredible that these foreign reserves should exist unnoticed.

Mr. Price: Does Germany intend to recover the Polish corridor?

fierr Hitler: No sane person believes the Corridor to be one of the greatest achievements of the Peace Conference, but nobody in Germany thinks wo are going to war with Poland over it. Answering further questions, Herr Hitler said: "We shall never go to war to get the colonies back. We are convinced that we are as capable as any other nation of administering and developing colonial territories, but we regard this, as a matter of negotiation. The German Government is working neither for a monarchy nor for a republic, but solely to improve the conditions of the German people. We lost the war and we are manly enough to recognise that we must bear the consequences. Wo have borne them, but it is intolerable that a nation of 65 million people should, continually and repeatedly be dishonoured and ■humiliated."
