Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Riddiford and Miss Pamela Eiddiford, who have been spending a few months in England, left yesterday by the Eangitane on their return to New Zealand.-
Mrs. A. W. Blair and Miss Isla Blair, Eeeleston Hill, left: today to spend the weekend at the Chateau Tongariro. Miss Helen Blair is spending the weekend at Wanganui. Miss Catherine Young, The Terrace, who has been the guest of Dr. and Mrs. Wilson, Wanganui, will return home this evening. Sir Hugh and Lady Acland, who have been spending a few days in Wellington, returned to Christchurch last evening. : . Mrs. Lan Duncan, who has been visiting England, left yesterday by the Raiigitane ou her return to New Zealand. ■ : Mr. and Mrs. George Wood, England, and Miss D. Triggs left Wellington last evening for the south, in. continuation of their tour of New Zealand. Mrs. G. G. Aitken, Christchurch, who has been visiting the North Island, will return south tomorrow evening. Miss Effie Briee left Wellington this week by tho Maunganui for a holiday trip to Sydney and Melbourne. Mrs. A. C. Holtnes, Christchurcli, is the guest of Mrs;. C. K. Grover, Wellington. Mrs. It. A. Mills. Herotaunga, who has been spending; Anne .months in KnglancT, left yesterday by the Rangitane ou her return to s.-Ncw Zealand. Mrs, 11. if. Wftuchop, Christchurch, arrived in Wellington this morning to spend a holiday. Miss Marie Brooking,- Wellington, is the guest of MY. and Mrs. E. Mi Collis, Kairanga, Palmerston North. Mrs. Arthur Walker, who has boen visiting friends, has returned to her home in Wellington. Mrs. G. Dransiield, Auckland, is visiting Wellington, and is staying at tho Hotel St. George. Miss R. Nutt, Christchureh, is among the guests at the Eoyal Oak Hotel.
Miss K. Galpin, Marton, is staying at the- Empire Hotel.
Mrs. G. Kingscote, Christehurch, is a guest at tiic Midland Hotel.
