Lifesavers (Australasia), .Ltd,, manufacturing confectioners, Sydney, shows a profit of £7748 for the year ended July 31, after providing £2015 for depreciation. The previous year's profit was £8595. A sum of £2000 is transferred to taxation reserve, leaving £6954 available. Preference dividend of 10 per cent, less the statutory deduction requires £1437, and ordinary dividend of 2% per cent, (a reduction from 5 per cent.), £3025, leaving £2492 to be carried forward, against £1206 brought forward. The directors state that turnover has been well maintained. Stocks are lower by £4156, and there has been an increase of £7275 in cash.
