NEWTOWN BRANCH
Mrs. Mowlom (president) presidedover.the recent meeting of the Newtown branch of the League of Mothers. The speaker, Pastor 6. Mnthicson, gave a talk entitled "The Noble Ministry of Women." Mrs. Halvorspn sang two solos and little Master Halvorseti gave two delightful little recitations. Tea was served by Mesdames Duncan and Cuthbcrt. " The election of vice-presidents, postponed from last meeting, resulted in Mesdames Cuthbert and Wales being elected. Two niore.' members were added to the committee, these being Mesdames Moller and Dyer. Mrs. Dyer was also given the office of hostess. A competition for tho most useful article made out of a sugar bag is to take place at the next meeting.
