A keen discussion of future activities and work done since 1927 took place' at the recent meeting of tho central branch of the, League of Mothers. Mrs. F. T. Clarke, who presided, was welcomed back from a holiday spent in Australia. The secretary presented the annual report, which, was adopted. Tho minutes of the first meeting, called by her Excellency Lady Alice Fergusson, were read, and final arrangements for the birthday party to be held next month and n concert at Victoria Ward were settled. Mrs. Fcrgie sang two very delightful songs and played, the hymn. Tea was served by Mesdames" Duncan, Grant, Rossitcr, West, and Crump.
