LORD ROTHERMERE
PLEA FOR DOMINIONS
IMPERIALISTIC VIEW
LONDON, July 26. In .an article in tho "Daily Mail," Lord Rothermore, protesting against tho application of a quota for New Zealand and Australian dairy produce, uses arguments employed by tho Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, that theso two Dominions provide far better markets for British manufacturers than Denmark, and also that Britain can hardly expect New Zealand and Australia to pay interest on money loaned to them if thciv natural output is to be rostrieted.
Lord Rothermero urges the strongest preferential treatment for Dominions produce, stating that the British delegates on tho World Economic Conferenco have been looking at world trade from the wrong angle, taking the internationalist view, whereas they should have taken a strong Imperialistic view.
