- (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, July 26. Entries were of average size at the Addington market. There was an improved sale of fat cattle and store ewes; fat sheep and dry stores maintaining last week's rates.

Store sheep.—Smaller entries were forward, the class generally being indifferent. Ewes near lambing were in keen demand at an advance in price. Wethers and lambs showed no change. Values were: Medium ewe lambs, to 10s; good wether, 9s to lls; others, 6s to 8s 6d; extra good 2-tooth half bred ewes, to 225; good fine 'woolled 6 and 8-toothed, 16s 7d to 17s 4d; good fine woolled s.m., to 14s Gd; ordinary fine woolled s.m., 9s to 12s; aged, to ss; two-tooth halfbred wethers, 8s <kl to 10s Id.

Fat sheep.—Four thousand were yarded, including outstanding Otago.and Southlaud truck lots. There was a sound sale for prime sheep. Extra prime heavy wethers to 30s; prime heavy, 21s Gd to 245; 'medium-weight prime, 18s 6(1 to 21s; ordinary, 15s Gd to 18s; light, to 15s; extra prime heavy ewes, to 25s 4d; prime heavy, 17s 6d to 21s; medium weight prime, 14s 6d to 17s; ordinary, lls to 14s;* light, 7s 6d to 10s 6d.

Fat cattle. —Four hundred and .twentyeight were penned, the quality being good. Values were from los to 20s a head better I than last week for prime cattle, and 10s to 15s for second grade. Good prime beef made from 21s Gd to 25s a 1001b. Some special pens of young beef made to 275; medium and heavy, 18s to' 20s, with secondary down to los Gd. Extra prime steers made to £12 17s 6d; prime heavy, £9 5s to £10 15s; medium weight prime, £7 15s to £9 15s; ordinary, £5 os to £7 10s; light, to £.4 10s; extra prime heifers, to £9 2s 6d; prime, £5 15s to £7 15s; ordinary, £3 15s to £5 10s; light, to £3 10s; extra, prime cows, to £8 7s Od; prime, £5 9s to £6 15s; ordinary, £3 7s Gd to £4 15s; light, to £3 ss. Fat pigs.—A smaller entry and a slightly better sale for porkers. Choppers, 30s to 46s Od; baconers, 40s to 59s 6d; average price pcr1 lb, 3%d. Porkers, 18s (3d to 35s Gd; average, 4d to 4%d per lb.
