ISLAND FRUIT
The Goverument ' motor-ship Maui Pomare arrived at Wellington this afternoon from Apia and Niue, via Lyttelton, with two thousand cases of bananas on board. Six thousand cases of bananas were discharged at Lyttelton. The fruit .was in excellent condition. The Maui Pomare experienced bad weather on the voyages to and from the Islands, and was twelve hours late in arriving at Lyttelton.
