The Bcv. J. Jolly, Dunedin, was among the passengers who arrived in AVellington yesterday from the south. A very mucli respected railwayman, Mr. J. McNeely, died suddenly in Wellington yesterday at his residence, Darlington Eoad, Miramar. Mr. MeNeoly joned the railway service in the early, eighties, and at the time of his retirement held the position of locomotive inspector. Ho -wa's well known and esteemed in the service from Auckland to Bluff. Ho retired in 1924. Mr. McNcely loaves a wife and one daughter Mrs. A. Ballinger, of Wellington Terrace, and two sons, Messrs. E. McNcely, Karori, and K. McNcely, Miramar. Mr. S. W. M. Stilling, New Zealand representative of the Australian National Travel Association, will return to Wellington on Monday by the Makura from Sydney. During his abseneo from the Dominion Mr. Stilling accompanied the Australian trade delegation which visited the Dutch East Indies in tho trade ship Nieuw Holland. Mr. Leonard G. Sweeney will arrivo at Wellington on Monday by the Makura from Sydney to take over the management of the Colgate-Palmolive-Pcet Company, Ltd., in New Zealand. Among the guests, at the Hotel St. George are Messrs. Sponcer-Mason (Auckland) and W. G. Tree (Masterton). . .. ■ • Messrs. T. M. Willis (Greatford), E. Harrison (Christchurch), E. , Sprague (To Aroha), F. W. Hayes, and H. E. Harper (Auckland) are among the guests at the Boyal Oak Hotel. Visitors to Wellington staying at the Empire Hotel are Messrs. J. Gardiner, T. Adair (Gisborne), and T.. E. McVay (Napier). Messrs. A. G. Dunnell, J. W. Beanland (Christchurch), A. E. Harding (Dargavillc), H. E. Drake (New Plymouth), J. W. Marsh (Wanganui), W. Wakelin (Wharigarci), and Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Stewart (Wanganui) are staying at the Grand Hotel.
