A NEW PARISH
Owing to the parochial district of Miramar, Seatoun, and Lyall Bay being too large for one vicar to preside over, steps were taken at a recent meeting of the Synod to make Lyall Bay a separate parochial district. This has now been done, and the first service at St. Jude's Church, Lyall Bay, under the new arrangement was held last night by the Rev. N. S. Barnett, vicar of St. Cuthbcrt's, Berhampore, who will preside over both parishes (Lyall Bay and Berhampore) in the meantime. The Rev. A. T. B. Page will continue to preside over the Miramar and Seatoun districts, Hothouse strawberries picked in Hampshire were sold a few weeks ago at £1 11s a pound. I
