ACREAGE CONTROL
CALGARY, June 8
The wheat world's immediate problem is the reduction of the present price, and also a reduction of the demoralising carry-over'to normal, according to a statement made by the Wheat Growers' Problem Committee of the Prairie States. According to the best opinion the world faces the greatest carry-over in history on August 1. Emphasising that the proposed acreage reduction would not cause a shortage of bread and grains, the statement declares that the step would restore prices to normal, and western acreage control wo.uld automatically cease.
