BERLIN, May 27. Cabinet, in a five-hour sitting, promulgated laws confiscating the entire funds and property of the Communist Party and its affiliated organisations, and providing a shipping subsidy of £1,000,000. Citizens were surprised to see the suppressed Communist evening newspaper, "Die Welt am Abend," again for sale on the streets. The British United Press correspondent, inquiring at the editorial office of the paper, was informed: "We have been harmonised. Our staff is now Nazi."
