KINDERGARTEN MOTHERS

There was not a dull moment for the children who gathered at the Trades Hall, Vivian Street, on Saturday afternoon, for the party arranged by the Taranaki Street Free Kindergarten Mothers 1 Club. A motley assortment of fancy dresses appeared. ■ The dainty and demure mingled with the humorous; the stately with the "r'ougli and tumble." ' Paper hats and balloons were given to the small, guests, and these-, with the varied costumos and "party" atmosphere of tho hall, made a very colourful scene. Games of every kind dear to small children jnrero arranged by Mr, Bitcliie, who made every guest feel at homo, and all joined in the singing of popular tune's, Some charming dance items were given by the pupils of Miss Hazel Martin, tho accompaniments being played by Miss Price. "Tea-time" was,'perhaps, the climax of the afternoon, and all the children sat in a 1 circle, on the floor, and soon demolished tho alluring party fare.
