The Berlin correspondent of "The Times'' states that a. committee representing tho autonomous Lutheran Reformed Churches flouted tho German Christian Party's ultimatum that tho first bishop of the Beich must not only be a Nazi, but enjoy Herr Hitler's confidence, by electing the Boy. Friedrich voa Bodelschwings. ' . The: Bey. Herman Catler, President of tho German Evangelical Church, insisted on the absolute independence of tho church, and said that tho care of the church did not lie with any political party. '
