'EFFECT OF FOREIGN SUBSIDIES,
(Received May 25, 1 p.m.) LONDON,;May 24. The National Maritime Board, representing owners and seamen, of the mer- j eantile marine sent a. resolution to Mr. W. Bunciman, President of the Board of Trade, in connection with, tho World Economic Conference, pointing out that one-third of Britain's seamen, were unemployed, and urging ths Government to do its utmost to ■remove the disabilities from British shipping, resulting from foreign subsidies and .flag discriminations.
