CHIEF INSPECTOR
APPOINTMENT MADE
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The appointment of Dr. James. -VT. Mcllwraith, senior inspector of .schools at Auckland, as chief inspector of primary schools for New Zealand was officially announced today.
Dr. Mcllraith was torn at 'Springfields in 1877 and was educated at Springfield and Canterbury College. He is an M.A. and LL.B., and a Doctor of Literature. He has acted as assistant to the Professor of Economics and to the Lecturer in Law at Canterbury College. He is a fellow of the Royal Economic Society and is- a contributor to the society's journal. For some years he.was senior, inspector in the Wellington Education District, and was appointed senior inspector at Auckland in 1932.
