GANDHI'S GERMAN DISCIPLE
FASTS AND THEIR EFFECT*
(Received May 11, noon.) CALCUTTA, May 10. Miss Margaret Spiegel, Mr. Gandhi's German disciple, has broken her fast and begged his forgiveness for "im> portuning him." Mr. Gandhi was overcome by a severs attack of nausea, which caused much alarm, but later he improved. There is no immediate cause for anxiety, but this'indication of his weakness makes it m'oreicertain that he will not surviv* if ho continues his fast.
