THE COST OF QUESTIONS
PROTEST IN ASSEMBLY
.\ CALCUTTA, May 4. J|r. P. E. Jatnes, a European member in tho. Assembly, speaking at a meeting of tho European Association in Madras, referred to the "scandal" of tho num-ber-of questions asked in tho Assembly. Ho said that over 1200 questions had been asked in the session recently concluded, at a cost to the country of nearly £5 for each'question, or a total of £0000.
