Mrs. J. C. Westall, who lias been visiting her sister-in-law,- Mrs. Frank Wilding, Christchurch, will leave Wei- > lihgton tomorrow morning by tho Eangitata with her husband, Captain J. C. Westall, E.N., H.M.S. Diomede, who is returning to England. Mrs. Wilding accompanied her to Wellington. The Eev. Mr. Gardener and Mrs. Gardener (Waverley) and Mr. Gordon Priest (Palmerston North) are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Shirteliffe, Tinakori Eoad. ' Miss Jean Kent, Auckland, arrived in Wellington today, and is tho guest of Mrs. W. F. Airoy, Wadestown. Mrs. Wajter Alexander arrived in Wellington yesterday from the north, and will return to England by the Eangitata on Friday, after having spent some months in New Zealand. Miss A. L. Tizard is a South Cantorbury representative, to the annual meeting of the New Zealand Educational Institute and the Women Teachers ' Association, in Wellington. Dr. and Mrs. Hope-Eobertson, Wellington, have returned from a visit to the north. Mr. and Mrs. Eobert Hudson and Mr. and Mrs. Eichard Hudson, Dunedin, arrived in Wellington yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Clark, Christchurch, .will leave Wellington tomorrow morning by the Rangitata for a six months'visit to England. Mrs. L. Potter, Palmerston North, who came to Wellington for the "Producers' School," is spending a few days at Island Bay. Mrs. Norman Levy and her small daughter were to leave Wellington by the Wanganella en route to England. Mrs. H. Lee and family, Christchurch, are spending a fortnight's holiday in Wellington. Mr. and .Mrs. C. H. Tripp, Timaru, arrived in Wellington this morning. Mrs. T. J. Edmonds, Christchurch, is spending a holiday in Wellington. Miss Nelle M. Scanlan was the guest of the Auckland Lyceum Club on TuesI day evening (states tho "New Zealand I Herald") and greatly interested members with a vivid and racy description of personalities abroad. Mrs. W. H. ■ Parkes (president) presided over a large attendance. Commander A. W. Clarke, E.N., and Mrs. Clarke are amongst the passengers leaving by the Eangitata tomorrow morning for England. Captain M. J. 0. de Merie, 8.N., and Mrs. de Meric will leave Wellington I tomorrow morning by the Eangitata for England. Lieut.-Colonel and Mrs. L. BiggWither will leave Wellington tomorrow morning by the Eangitata for England. Lieut.-Commander V. F. Boyle, E.N., and Mrs. Boyle will leave Wellington tomorrow morning by the Kangitata for England. Sntherlapa Boss (Dunedin), Miss Burrell (Feilding), and Miss B. Landels (Hastings). Guests at the Midland Hotel include Mrs. G. H. Jenning and Mrs. B. M. Macbeth (Dunedin), Mrs. . Boyle, Mrs. Howard Tripp, and Mrs. Loisel (Timaru). Mrs. J. W. McHolm, of Knight's Eoad, Lower Hutt, was a passenger on the Eangatira for Lyttelton last night.
