INSTALLATION CEREMONY

i (Special to "The Evening Post.") NELSON, May 10. Speaking of the work ahead of the coiineil, the .Mayor (Mr. W. J. He ejpressed satisfaction at the carrying of the poll to esti^lish a Fire Board and said it was for I the council to move immediately to give'effect 'to the wish of the ratepayer*. Councillor B. R. Neale, On behalf of the! council, congratulated the Mayor on his ! re-election unopposed. Hr was glad to isee eight of the nine old councillors retiirned. and extended a welcome back tolthe council table to Mr. 0. P. Russell. an les-eotineillor returned at the recent elections. ■JSie Mayor and all the old members of the' council spoke in appreciative terms of 'thY service rendered the city by Mt. J. (Stringer, a councillor for many years, wins wae not re-elected. .. .
