TRIBUTES TO JARDINE
.(Received May 11, 3 p.m.) LONDON, May 10.' "Despite what was said in the Press ovoryono was loyal to Jardine," said Larwood, in acknowledging the presentation of an address and a silver tea and coffee service from his fellow townsmen of East Kirby, Nottinghamshire. He added: "One could not have wished for a batter captain or had a happier tinio. Those who wero not fortuna,to enough to bo selected for the Tests did their utmost to help those who were." Voce, receiving an address and a case i of cutlery, also paid a tribute t« Jardine as a great captain.
