EDITORIAL OPINION
MR. MASTERS'S MISSION
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") ■ ■ DITNEDIN, This Day. - The " Otago Daily Times" says: "There is no apparent reason why the Dominion, should be represented at the, Economic Conference by more1 than one ■ member of the Government, who quite naturally should be the Prime Minister. It is suggested that ■'. important and delicate questions affecting the trade, of the Dominion require attention, at the present moment. The answer is that the representatives of the industries chiefly affected are .at least not: less qualified-than the Minister Of Industries and Commerce to grapple with them, and that the- chairmen of the boards controlling the export of the principal products of the Dominion will be in London, within the next few weeks< specially charged with a mission of safeguarding the producers' interests/ Moreover, the 'Dominion- is ; quite!" efficiently served on the commercial side by its officials in the United Kingdom/ The inclusion of Mr. Masters is therefore unnecessary. • Moreover, it is a political mistake,"
