BROKEN BYLAWS
Offenders against the bylaws were dealt with at the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon by Mr. J. Miller, S.M. Richard J. James was fined £3 for driving in a manner that might have been dangerous to the public. For not having the brakes of a motorvehicle in proper working order Young How was fined £2. ' William Bawe was fined 10a for passing a stationary tram. Harold A. Catherall was fined 15s for not having a motor vehicle properly lighted after dark. On a charge of not having a driver's licence he was fined 10s. Fines of 5s in each case were imposed on Mervyn R. Cowdrey, Samuel C. Reed. Thomas A. Thomas, Percy Withers, and Robert W. Young for failing to keep to the left. John Duncan was convicted and ordered to pay costs for failing to notify the change of ownership of a motor-car. A. fine of £1 was imposed on Keith W. Liddle for failing to give way at an intersection. John Shelly and Donald W. McLennan were fined 5s on a charge of failing to notify the change of ownership of a motor cycle. Hugo Stossel was fined £1 for not having a driver's licence. Hylton H. Todd was fined 5s for a similar offence. William Paterson was fined 10s for not having a motor vehicle properly lighted after dark.
