ELECTION PROTEST
QUALIFICATION QUESTIONED
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHEISTCHUBOH, This Day. : A protest against the election of Miss M. Howard (Labour) to the City Council has been lodged with the Beturning Officer by the Citizens' Association. It is understood that the Citizens' Association claims that Miss Howard is,not an elector of the city, and that her nomination was not in order. It is believed that-the qualification of Mr. E. J. Howard, M.P., father of Miss Howard, who is certain of election to the Harbour Board, has _ also been challenged by the association. Mr. and] Miss Howard both reside outside the' city.
