"We should like to take this opportunity," says Dr. Sutch in the letter,. ■ 'to convey to you and the citizens of'] Masterton and the people of the Wairarapa m general our deep appreciation of all you havo done for us. We feel that everyone in your district was personally concerned about our safety. This was the most striking impression we received on reaching the outside world." We would very much appreciate it if you could convey our heartfelt thanks to tho organisation committee, search parties, and private citizens of the Wairarapa who offered and gave their time, money, and services in order that our'party might be brought into safety."
