INTERNATIONAL EVENT
RESULTS AT BROOKLANDS
LONDON, May 7. The international 250-miles motor race at Brooklands was won by the Hon. Adrian Lewis, who drove an AlfaBoineo at an average speed of 88.07 miles an hour. Mr. E. K. Hall, in a MG Magnette, was second with a speed of 82.77 miles per hour, and Mrs. Wisdom, in a MG Magnette, , the only woman competitor, was third," with a speed of 81.24 miles per hour. There were two narrow escapes. Mr. G. E. T. Eyston, in the third lap, was going at seventy miles an hour when a wheel of his machine flew off and struck and injured an official. Mr. Eyston struggled for 100 yards to prevent his car overturning. Mr. Elwes crashed at a corner when he skidded, and his car somersaulted. He escaped unhurt.
