SOVIET SALVAGE STEAMER
LOST IN ARCTIC PACK-ICE
SPITZBERGEN, May 6. "Farewell to everybody; we are sinking," was the last wireless message received from the Soviet salvage steamer Rouslan, which foundered with a crew of twenty-three off South Cape, Spitzbergen, where the vessel has beon stranded in pack-ice for two months. The little Russian colony at Barentzburg heard the wireless appeal, and dispatched assistance, but the signals ceased on April 26. A search for survivors has beeu made, but it was without result. . '
