CAR OVER A BANK
DRIVER SERIOUSLY HURT
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND; This Day. Two residents of AVaitakcre, on the North Koad, on being awakened early this morning by a banging on the door, found a man, drenched, covered in mud,' and bleeding, on the doorstep. He said, "My car went over a bank," and then collapsed. It was not. until daylight that the car was discovered at the" bottom of a gully 80 feet deep. Tho driver evidently missed a sharp bend and plunged over. He' has been, identified as-George Brewer, a radio salesman, aged 32. His condition on admission to tho. hospital was serious, but it is reported that he has improved today.
