LONDON, May 2. Amazing scenes occurred at Liverpool, where 300,000 people awaited th« return of the Everton team, who won thfs English Cup. While the members of tho team wera proceeding to the Lord Mayor's civic reception, tho police were unable to control the great crowd, who fought and struggled to gc't near the player*. Hundreds were knocked down, and trampled upon, and the Town Hall was coTiverted into a first-aid station. Three hundred people were injured. The English Association football cup was won by Everton, who in th» presence of 92,390 people, defeated Manchester City at Wembley by 3 goal* to 1. • ■
