The story published by tho "Daily Herald" today alleging the impending conclusion of an Anglo-Persian Treaty for the purpose of making British lritlu-, cnoo dominant in Persia is described j officially as wholly without foundation. I A general treaty with Persia has been under: negotiation since 1928, but there is no question of such treaty securing any exclusive privilege for Great Britain or being in any way directed against any other country. !
