ANGLO-PERSIAN OIL
AGREEMENT SIGNED
COMPANY'S CONCESSIONS
(Received May 3, 10 a.m.) TEHERAN, May 2. The Anglo-Persian oil agreement has been signed. The company agrees to pay royalties of 4s per ton besides onefifth of the net profits with arrears of a million sterling. The company undertakes to extract five million tons annually, engage more Persians, and spend £10,000 a year upon the education of Persian students in engineering. The concession tuns for sixty years.
