THE SOUTH SEA
PRELIMINARY INQUIRY
The preliminary inquiry was held today into the circumstances of -' the trawler South Sea grazing a rock when entering the Wellington Heads early yesterday morning. The evidence from the inquiry is being considered by tho Marine Department. Conditions were murky .when the trawler struck on the rock. By going | astern Bhe got clear, and it was found ' she was making ,no water. An inspection was carried out yesterday by a diver, and it was found that the' South Sea had suffered no damage. She was to leave Wellington this, afternoon for Lyttelton and the Chatham Islands.
