TASMAN SERVICE
NO SHIP NEXT WEEK
No intercolonial liner will arrive at Wellington next week from Sydney. This is rather unusual. It is accounted for by the fact'that the Mnrama is out of commission at Auckland, the intercolonial service being maintained oy the Monowai and the Waiiganella. Occasionally, while two ships are in the service, Wellington is missed. When the Monowai, Wanganella, and Marama are, all running, besides the San Francisco steamer, a traus-Tasman ship calls here once a week. The Monowai is including Wellington and Auckland in her itinerary at present. The Aorangi is to withdraw from the service at Sydney on May 20. Th 3 Monowai is to sail for Vancouver in her place on May 25. The Monowai will leave Sydney on July 20 for Wellington, where she will withdraw for overhaul. On August 10 she will leave Wellington for Sydney, and will leave Sydney on August 1" for Vancouver in place of the Niagara. She will reenter the intercolonial service when she leaves Sydney on October 14 for Auckland. The Mnrama will leave Auckland on May 18 for Sydney, and will withdraw for overhaul on her arrival at Wellington on October 16.
