The following is a list to date of promises which have been received at Government House of goods in kind for the Gov-ernor-General's Fund. This list is separate from that of .monetary contributions, although a number o£ those whose names appear below have, in. addition, made donations in cash:—His Excellency the Governor-General, 12 fat cheep; Mr.. J. Connolly, M.P., Eakaia, 40 fat sheep (or value in cash); Mr. J. Purvis, Trentham, 6 sheep; Mr. Donald McDonald, Edendale, proceeds of one truck fat sheep and one truck of fat cattle; Wellington-Raetihi Transport Co., Wellington, free transport of goods from country to city; Anonymous, Wellington, 52 bags of wood; Mr. W. J. Saxby_, Cambridge, one sack of potatoes*, two sacks of pumpkins; Mr. C. W Grubb, Wellington, cost of four bags of coal; Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Talbot, Wellington, 251b of honey; Mr. W. Moodabe, Auckland (on behalf of the Amalgamated Theatres of New. Zealand), 1000 tickets for use in Amalgamated Theatres "in New Zealand; Anonymous, Wellington, offer of clothing, etc.; Mr. K. A. Mitchell, footwear to the value of £5; Messrs. S. Kirkpatrick and Co., Ltd., Nelson, 3000 lib tins "X" jam; Mrs. Mi E. Brown, Waitahora, Dannevirke, five fat wethers and .one vealer; "Unemployed Farmer," Manurewa, 12 sacks* of wood; Messrs. Boss, and Glendinning,'Ltd., Wellington, £100 in woollen goods; Anonymous, 50 cords pinus insignia firewood.
